PROPOXYPHENE INTERACTION WITH WARFARIN |
||
| Brand Names: Darvon,
Darvon Compound, Darvocet-N, Propacet-N, Wygesic. These
products may also contain acetaminophen
or aspirin.
The status of this reaction is rather uncertain. There are no reports on the National Library of Medicine's Medline of any harm to a patient from taking this combination. It does not appear to affect the INR. Any reports of hemorrhage with propoxyphene go back to before 1990. Since these two medications are widely used, and have been for many years, the likelihood of any significant interaction is probably very low. I have seen quite a few people taking these products without any harm. SEE A CATALOG OF PUBLICATIONS AVAILABLE FROM LODWICK CREATIONS, LLC.
