THE QUESTION OF THE DAY

Somebody told me that once you start taking warfarin you can never stop.  Is that true?  -- BD

No.  It depends on why you are taking it.  Some people take it to prevent getting a blood clot after surgery.  They will probably only take it for a month or two.  However, other people with things such as mechanical heart valves and atrial fibrillation are likely to need it for life.
