THE QUESTION OF THE DAY

My doctor wants me to try Coenzyme Q-10, but I have seen cautions against using it while someone is taking warfarin.  What are the facts?  -- Ian

The chemical structure of CO-Q-10 is very close to that of vitamin K, the factor that is in opposition to warfarin.  Because of this there were some articles that advised against its use with warfarin.  However, there has never been a report of anyone being harmed by this combination.  Therefore, I would consider it to be safe.  For more detailed information, please look at www.warfarinfo.com/coenzymeQ10.htm
